Jamaican ace shooter Romelda Aiken will miss today’s first Test for the World Team against New Zealand’s Silver Ferns in their New World International Netball Series.

New Zealand Netball officials confirmed yesterday that Aiken would be sidelined to recover from a knee injury she picked up during the World Youth Netball Championship that ended in the Cook Islands late last week.

The 20 year old Aiken should be fit to make her first appearance in the second match of the three-match series on Wednesday in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Aiken had replaced fellow Jamaican Simone Forbes in the World Seven team for the series.

The World Seven team also includes Jamaican Althea Byfield.
