The Grenada government has established a Department of Export Development in light of plunging export revenues.

The Department is designed to revitalise strategies to boost revenue through foreign trade.

Finance Minister Nazim Burke said the intention is to have a more dedicated effort to building export capacity and export earnings.

Official figures show that Grenada’s export earnings have plunged from $EC200 million to 90 million in the past 15 years.
