Venezuela criticises United States

The Venezuelan government has criticised the United States for what it says is a display of double standards regarding the use of drugs.



Venezuela\'s interior minister, Tarek el-Aissami, has attacked the award winning US cartoon, Family Guy, for promoting the use and legalisation of marijuana.



The minister\'s comments come amid a wider attack on the US government which recently criticised anti-drug efforts in Venezuela in a report by Congress.



Mr. El-Aissami also accused the US of criticising governments outside its borders while failing to deal with a drug consumption problem in the US.
