West Indies cricketers preparing for Indians
West Indies cricketers will have two training sessions at the St David’s School in Johannesburg, South Africa before their last Champions Trophy group phase match on Wednesday against India.
The first training session will take place today and captain Floyd Reifer says the players will be looking to do more mental and physical preparation.
Reifer says despite the team losing their two games so far the players are entering Wednesday’s Group ‘A’ match with their heads up.
He says the team has played well and the players know they are improving.
The depleted Windies had been listed as huge underdogs ahead of the tournament, but delivered fairly competitive performances in their losses to reigning World 20/Twenty champions Pakistan and Australia, the current World Cup holders.
West Indies are without their top players because of a players’ dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board.
