Knights, Slayers march on

Reigning champions Urban Knights and St Georges Slayers secured victories last night in the Flow-sponsored Southern Conference National Basketball League at the Stadium Courts.



Urban Knights carved out a 62-59 victory over Majesty Gardens in the second game; while St Georges Slayers easily beat Braves Chiefs 77-52.



Dave Blackwood led Urban Knight with 16 points and two rebounds, while Keron Caine had 11 points and 6 rebounds and Devon Daley and Andre Murray had 10 points each.



For Majesty Gardens, Baldon Todd had a game high 22 points and 4 rebounds and Kemar McLeish scored 20 points and seven rebounds.



Rohan Robinson led St Georges Slayers with 22 points and four rebounds. He was supported by Michael Jackson 14 points and 4 points and Dennis Williams 11 points and 12 rebounds.



For Braves Chiefs, Kevin Currie and Lascelles Johnson had 10 points each.



The competition continues tomorrow night.
