Anguillan tourism takes off

Tourism officials in Anguilla are reporting an increase in bookings for the 2009/2010 Winter season.
The Caribbean Media Corporation quotes the Anguilla Tourist Board as saying that some key tour operators are reporting brisk business for the last quarter of the year.
Finance Minister Victor Banks said the increase in bookings demonstrates the travel industry\'s confidence in Anguilla.
The growth has been credited in part to the aggressive marketing efforts of the island\'s public and private sectors.
