T&T defend President’s Cup title

Team of the moment Trinidad and Tobago defeated hosts Guyana by 81 runs in the day/night limited over final at the National Stadium at Providence to retain the West Indies Cricket Board President’s Cup.



T&T batting first piled up 286 for 6 off their allotted 50 overs and then bowled out Guyana for 205 off 45 point 4 overs.



Kieron Pollard 3 for 38, Ravi Rampaul 2 for 31, and Dave Mohammed 2 for 38 took most wickets for T&T.



Darren Bravo led the way for T&T in the batting with 76. He was supported by Pollard 57, Captain Daren Ganga 46, Denesh Ramdin 44 not out and Lendl Simmons 31.



Royston Crandon was the most successful bowler for Guyana with 2 for 62.



Ramnaresh Sarwan top scored for Guyana with 60, while Crandon chipped in with 46 and Travis Dowlin 41.
