Chivas USA defender Shavar Thomas will travel with the Jamaica’s national football team tomorrow to South Africa for a friendly international against that country on November 17.

The 26-year-old Thomas received a late call after Chivas USA were eliminated from the US Major League Soccer Championship.

Thomas joins his Major League Soccer counterparts Omar Cummings from Colorado Rapids and Dane Richards from Red Bulls to be included in the party.

The exciting Jermaine Johnson from Sheffield Wednesday, Jamal Campbell-Ryce from Burnley and Jason Morrison from Ferencvaros will travel from Europe to meet the group.

Midfielder Rodolph Austin heads a list of European-based players who were already in the island preparing for the engagement. The others include Adrian Reid, Eric Vernan and Demar Phillips.
