Reggae Boyz take on South Africa in friendly international

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will tackle 2010 World Cup hosts South Africa in a friendly international at 1:30 this afternoon Jamaica time.



The match will take place in South Africa at the Free State Stadium.



In three confrontations, the teams have ended 1-1 in Kingston in 1999, 0-0 in Cape Town in 2003 and 3-3 at the Los Angeles Coliseum at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2005.



The South Africans are coming off a goalless draw against Japan in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. They have lost 8 of their last 10 games.



The Reggae Boyz starting 11 includes Harbour View 23-year-old central defender, Dicoy Williams



The other defenders in the starting team are Shavar Thomas and Jermaine Taylor, while Dwayne Miller was selected as the first choice goalkeeper.



The remaining members of the starting team are Midfielders Jason Morrison, Rodolph Austin, Demar Phillips, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, and attackers Jermaine Johnson, Dane Richards and Devon Hodges.
