Tivoli defeat Village United in DPL

Reigning champions Tivoli Gardens defeated Village United 3-0 at Elliston Wakeland Centre in Trelawny yesterday in the 18th round of the Digicel National Premier League.



As a result of the victory, Tivoli Gardens have moved to 35 points, while Village United remain in the relegation zone. Village have slipped from second from the bottom to last place in the 12-team standings.



Meanwhile, Boys’ Town courtesy of a last minute strike from Oneil McDonald, edged St George’s 1-0 at Lynch Park in Portland.



Following the victory, Boys’ Town have moved to 30 points, one point behind third place St. Georges.



Waterhouse are also on 30 points after recording a 2-1 victory over Humble Lions at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon.



At the UWI Bowl, struggling August Town came from two goals down to upset seventh place Arnett Gardens 4-2.
