A British man found guilty of drug smuggling in China is scheduled to be executed tomorrow morning.
Akmal Shaikh, from London, has reportedly been told by his family that he faces death at 10:30.
The 53-year-old has denied knowledge of the 4 kg of heroin which was found in his possession in the remote north-western city of Urumqi in 2007.
His family says he is mentally ill.
Mr. Shaikh has been detained in hospital since August, suffering from high blood pressure.
Meanwhile, supporters are gathering outside the Chinese embassy in London.
They will deliver a letter to the ambassador calling for a stay of execution.
