England on course for victory
Stuart Broad took 3 wickets in 15 balls to put England on course for victory in the second Test against hosts South Africa at Kingsmead.
Broad took three for 18 to restrict South Africa to 76 for 6 in their second innings when bad light brought an early close on day four.
Broad was supported by spinner Graeme Swann who had 3 for 22.
Going into tomorrow’s final day with 4 wickets in hand, South Africa will need a further 156 runs to make England bat a second time.
Resuming this morning on 386 for 5, replying to South Africa’s first innings total of 343, England declared at 575 for 9, 232 runs in front.
Ian Bell, who was undefeated on 55 scored 141 runs, his ninth Test century.
It was the second century in the innings as opener Alastair Cook scored 118.
Paul Collingwood 91, Matt Prior 60 and Andrew Strauss 54 also scored valuable runs.
Morne Morkel and J.P. Duminy were the most successful bowlers for South Africa with 3 wickets apiece.
