Liverpool striker Fernando Torres struck in the 90th minute to clinch a 1-0 victory at Aston Villa today, moving his side to within four points of Champions League berths.
Stephen Warnock gave the ball away for Torres to earn his 50th English Premier League goal.
Liverpool controlled the match at a snowy Villa Park, but struggled to find a way past Brad Friedel.
While Liverpool moved up to seventh in the Premier League, Villa remained fifth, two points behind fourth-place Tottenham after a second straight loss.
Stephen Hunt scored twice as Hull battled back from 2-goal down to snatch a point against Bolton with Jamaica’s Ricardo Gardner. The game ended 2-2.
