Ambrose George a minister again
A leading Dominica Labour Party (DLP) official, who was dismissed in two previous administrations, has been included in the 15-member cabinet of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Among the ministers sworn-in yesterday was DLP Deputy Leader Ambrose George.
He was dismissed by Prime Minister Skerrit from the last cabinet over claims that he had been involved in an alleged Internet scam.
Mr George, who won his seat in the December 18 general election, is the new minister for information, telecommunications and constituency empowerment.
The cabinet now has two female ministers, one of them, Justina Charles, the widow of former Prime Minister Pierre Charles.
Mrs Charles contested and won the Grandbay constituency that had been held by her late husband until his death in January of 2004.
She’s now the minister for culture, youth and sports.
