Waterhouse suffers first defeat from August Town

Red-Hot Waterhouse suffered their first defeat in the second round of the Digicel Premier League when beaten 1-0 by bottom place August Town at the University of the West Indies Bowl yesterday.



However, despite the defeat, Waterhouse still booked the first spot in the second End of Round Final, following Boys’ Town goalless draw against Sporting Central Academy at Collie Smith Drive.



With one round remaining before the final, Waterhouse lead with an unassailable 23 points, 5 ahead of Boys Town on 18, while overall leaders Harbour View remain in third on 17 points after going down 1-0 to Village United at Harbour View Stadium in a late game.



In other games defending champions Tivoli Gardens and Rivoli United played to a 1-1 draw at Spanish Town Prison Oval, St Georges Sports Club defeated Portmore United 3-1 at Lynch Park in Portland, while Arnett Gardens and Humble Lions battled to a 1-1 draw at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
