Stage set for Haiti Charity match
Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana will clash in a 20/20 charity affair this evening, as the Caribbean cricket fraternity moves to throw its financial support behind relief efforts for earthquake ravaged Haiti.
The match will feature several young exciting West Indies players and all funds are expected to go towards helping Haiti, which was rocked by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake last Tuesday.
Guyana’s Test players, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Travis Dowlin and Narsingh
Deonarine along with Trinidadians Denesh Ramdin and Lendl Simmons will be on show at the Queen’s Park Oval.
Daren Ganga, who will lead T&T, said the players are looking forward to giving their time and talents towards the venture.
The match has been organized as a joint effort between the West Indies Players Association, the T&T Cricket Board and the Guyana Cricket Board.
