Leaders, Jamaica have taken control over Combined Campuses and Colleges on today’s opening day of their fifth round day/night match of the West Indies Cricket Board first class championship in Guyana.
Jamaica, choosing to bat at the National Stadium at Providence, were 151 for 1 at Sports Time with Donovan Pagon on 71 and Danza Hyatt on 67.
Brenton Parchment was dismissed for 9.
The Jamaicans, who enter the match with a perfect record, are searching for their third straight four-day title.
Over at the Albion Ground, second place Barbados, electing to bat against hosts and bottom place Guyana, were 326 for 5 at the close of play.
Ryan Hinds 76, Jason Haynes 69 and Dale Richards 55 got half centuries.
Over at Bourda, sixth place Leeward Islands, electing to bat against fifth place Windward Islands, reached 254 for 5, when stumps were drawn. Montcin Hodge has so far top scored for Leeward Islands with 61.
