Papine beat Immaculate
Reigning girls’ champions Papine High blanked Immaculate 2-0 yesterday to maintain their perfect record in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Jamaica Hockey Federation Under-19 competition.
The game was played at the Mona Hockey Turf.
Chakiria Airey and Trudy-Ann Knight scored for Papine High, who have now moved to nine points, five ahead of St Andrew High, Excelsior and Alpha Academy, all locked on four.
Immaculate are at the bottom of the table without a point.
In other girls’ matches yesterday, Excelsior registered a 2-0 victory over Wolmer’s, while Alpha Academy and Campion College battled to a goalless draw.
In the boys’ competition, St Andrew Technical High School edged Papine 2-1 in Zone ‘B’.
The competition continues this afternoon at 1 p.m. with Wolmer\'s tackling Mona in a Boys’ Zone ‘B’ encounter.
