Update: Good start for Jamaica against T&T

Centuries from openers Danza Hyatt and Brenton Parchment have put champions Jamaica in a good position against Trinidad and Tobago at the close of day one of their final round WICB Regional first-class match at Progress Park in Grenada.



Both batsmen scored 106 runs to lead Jamaica to 347 for seven at stumps. Young batsman Horace Miller supported with 65.



Imran Khan has picked up most wickets for T&T so far with five for 101.



The Jamaicans, second in the standings, need an outright victory for a historic three consecutive titles.



Barbados are the tournament leaders with 57 points, nine ahead of Jamaica. However, the Barbadians have already completed their schedule.



Over at the National Stadium Guyana, sent in by the Windward Islands, were 239 for three at stumps in their bottom-of-the-table clash. Ramnaresh Sarwan is unbeaten on 81 and Assad Fudadin 64 not out.



Leeward Islands, sent in to bat by Combined Campuses and Colleges, were 154 for seven at tea in their day/night match at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium.
