A first-half strike by Gonzalo Higuain gave Argentina a 1-0 win over fellow World Cup finalist Germany in Munich.
The Real Madrid striker collected a long clearance from Angel di Maria, beat defender Per Mertesacker, then slipped the ball past Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler, who had raced nearly 30 metres off his line.
Diego Maradona\'s team was clearly the better side, outplaying the hosts and earning applause from the crowd, while the Germans were booed at the end.
Over in Switzerland, Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani scored as Uruguay came from behind to beat Switzerland 3-1 in another friendly between two World Cup qualifiers.
In other friendly internationals, Italy and Cameroon played to a goalless draw in Monaco and the Netherlands beat the United States 2-1 in Amsterdam.
