Reggae Girls head to Costa Rica

Jamaica’s young Reggae Girls are scheduled to depart the country this afternoon at 3.55 p.m. for Costa Rica to compete in the CONCACAF round of the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers.



Jamaica are drawn in Group B and will face Canada, Mexico and Panama.



Group A of the qualifiers consists of Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti and defending champions the USA.



Jamaica will open their campaign against Canada on Thursday. The second game will be against Mexico Saturday and the final match against Panama on March 15.



The Jamaicans have just returned from Trinidad and Tobago where they lost to Canada and Mexico in the four-national Under-17 Invitational women’s tournament.
