Fulham of England and Spanish club Atletico Madrid have earned the right to contest the first Europa League final.

Fulham came from behind for a 2-1 semifinal victory over Hamburg of Germany, and although Atletico lost 2-1 to Liverpool of England after extra time at Anfield in England, the 2-2 aggregate meant that the Spanish team advanced on away goals to the May 12 final.

Liverpool cancelled out Atletico\'s 1-0 first-leg lead with Alberto Aquilani\'s 44th-minute strike. Yossi Benayoun added the second in the 95th minute only for Diego Forlan to reply for the Spanish club.

After a goalless first-leg draw, Mladen Petric fired Hamburg ahead with a 30-metre free kick.

However, Fulham hit back with two goals in seven minutes by Simon Davies and Zoltan Gera to win 2-1 on aggregate.
