West Indies, South Africa face off in third ODI
The third One-Day International between hosts West Indies and South Africa takes place today at Windsor Park in Dominica, with the Caribbean side trying to prevent the visitors from taking an unbeatable lead in the series.
The game is scheduled to bowl off at 8.30 a.m. Jamaica time.
West Indies trail 2-0 in the five-match series, following a 66-run defeat under the Duckworth-Lewis Method in the rain-marred opening match last Saturday in Antigua, where they also lost the second match by 17 runs on Monday.
West Indies coach Ottis Gibson says he has identified some things that the team has to do a lot better to beat the strong South African team.
However, injuries to Ramnaresh Sarwan, Kemar Roach, and Nikita Miller will make the job more challenging against the well-drilled South Africans.
Trinidadian Darren Bravo, the younger brother of West Indies vice captain Dwayne Bravo, and all-rounder Dave Bernard Junior of Jamaica have been added to the 13-member squad.
West Indies have not won against South Africa in a while. They have won only one of their previous 14 One-Day Internationals against the South Africans.
