Three newcomers named in Under-19 squad

Jamaica’s selectors have named three newcomers in a 14-man squad for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) regional Under-19 tournament, starting next month.



The newcomers are Vaneil Bromfield, Pete Salmon and Omar Samuels.



Also included in the squad are 2009 winning captain Paul Palmer, Jermaine Blackwood, John Campbell and Ramon Senior.



The remaining members of the squad are, Kemar Marshall, Nicholson Gordon, former national Under-15 players Brian Gayle, Michael Francis, Horane Linton, Donovan Nelson and Coi Thompson.



Jamaica were crowned one-day and three-day champions last year.



The tournament, which will take place in St Lucia, is scheduled to start on July 8 and ends on August 4.
