TCL Under-19 Challenge Round Up

Reigning champions Jamaica are well set to win first innings points from early leaders Guyana entering today’s third and final day of their second round match in the TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge.



The game is being played at the Gros-Islet Playing Field in St Lucia.



Guyana, replying to Jamaica’s first innings total of 380, will resume this morning on 136 for seven, 244 runs behind.



Donovan Nelson has so far taken three wickets for 42 runs, while Nicholson Gordon chipped in with two for 34.



Yesterday’s second day belonged to Jermaine Blackwood, who scored a double century. Blackwood, who was 100 overnight with Jamaica on 256 for six, ended on 204 not out.



Over at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, Barbados are closing in on first innings honours over the Leeward Islands.



The Leeward Islands will resume on 186 for nine replying to Barbados’ total of 350 for six declared.



While over at the Dennery Playing Field, Windward Islands, leading Trinidad and Tobago by 20 runs on first innings, will resume on 60 for one in their second innings.
