14 Jamaicans in action on Day Two

Jamaican sprinter Dexter Lee, who is aiming to create history at the 13th World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada, won his heat of the men’s 100-metres on today’s second day of competition.
Lee, who is aiming to be the first repeat winner of the 100 metres, won in 10.38 to qualify for the semifinals.
Lee’s main challenge for the gold medal will be the fast-rising Frenchman Jimmy Vicaut who won his heat in 10.53.
Both athletes enter the Championships with a season’s best time of 10.16.
Natoya Goule, the first Jamaican on the track this morning finished second in her heat of the girls’ 800 metres to advance to the other round, while Jody Ann Muir won heat 5 of the girls’ 400 metres to took her place in round two.
