There were three victories for Jamaica at the 60th edition of the Hanzekovic Memorial in Zagreb, Croatia today, the final International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Challenge Meeting of the season.

Kaliese Spencer, Kenia Sinclair and Dwight Thomas all secured victories.

Spencer, who won the Diamond League last week, added another victory in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 54.23 seconds. Zuzana Hejnova of the Czech Republic was second, 0.87 behind.

In the women's 800m, Sinclair won in one minute, 58.59 seconds, her best time this season, while Thomas won the men’s 110 hurdles in 13.40 seconds ahead of American Joel Brown, who clocked 13.43.

Meanwhile, American sprinter Tyson Gay ran 9.92 seconds to win the 100 metres, leaving Jamaican rival Nesta Carter trailing in second in 10.07.

Gay and Carter are tied for the world lead at 9.78. Gay reached it in London in August and Carter in Rieti last Sunday.

Michael Rodgers of the United States was third in 10.14 seconds.

Gay says he and Carter briefly clashed hands, preventing him from recording a quicker time.
