Voting and legal specialists for Haiti

Experts from the Organisation of American States (OAS) are due in Haiti to help the government resolve the crisis triggered by the disputed presidential election last month.



Outgoing President Rene Preval requested help for a planned vote recount and with any legal challenges.



The United Nations envoy to Haiti, Bill Clinton has called for an objective recount so that the Haitian people can trust the results.



Clinton was speaking in the Dominican Republic at the fourth meeting of the multi-lateral Haiti Reconstruction Commission.



The board has approved hundreds of millions of dollars in new projects for the quake-hit country.
