Australia roar back into Ashes contention

Hosts Australia enter the third day of the third Ashes Test against England at the WACA pitch in Perth with a lead of 200 runs after bowling the visitors out for 187 runs on the second day.



The third day starts tonight at 9:30 Jamaica time.



Mitchell Johnson produced a devastating display of swing bowling on day two to put Australia back into Ashes contention.



Johnson took six for 38 to undermined England’s ambitions of retaining the Ashes in the third Test after the hosts resumed on 29 without loss.



Only Andrew Strauss 52 and Ian Bell 53 offered any resistance in the chase of Australia’s first innings total of 268.



Shane Watson then scored 61 not out as Australia, trailing 1-0 in the series, reached 119 for 3.



Steven Finn has been the most successful England bowler so far in the second innings with two for 48 while Chris Tremlett had one for 20.
