Jamaica bow into action today

Host nation Jamaica will begin their campaign in Group-C of the CONCACAF Under-17 World Cup Qualifier this afternoon when they play archrivals Trinidad and Tobago at the Catherine Hall Stadium in Montego Bay.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m, following the opening Group-D game between Barbados and highly rated Honduras at 12 p.m. and the Opening Ceremony at 2 p.m.
After their extensive six-week training camp in Brazil, national head coach, Wendell Downswell, believes Jamaica’s young Reggae Boyz are ready to make a significant mark on the 12-team tournament.
He is expecting a positive result against the Trinidadians.
Following today’s game, Jamaica will play Guatemala in their final preliminary round game on Saturday.
The top four teams will qualify for the FIFA Under-17 Boys’ World Cup in June in Mexico.
