Jamaica win first innings points

Three-time defending champions Jamaica produced a good batting display to secure first innings points from England Lions on today’s third and penultimate day of their top-of-the-table seventh round match in the Regional first-class championship at Sabina Park.



Resuming this morning on 259 for four chasing England Lions’ first innings score of 358, Jamaica were dismissed for 376 to take an 18-run first innings lead.



England Lions batting a second time reached 149 for three at stumps. The match started a day earlier than the others.



Meanwhile at the National Stadium at Providence, Guyana, replying to Trinidad and Tobago’s first innings total of 434 for 5 declared, were struggling on 137 for 5 at the close of today’s second day of their seventh round game.



While at Beausejour Cricket Ground in St Lucia, Windward Islands, responding to the Leeward Islands’ 72 all out reached 285 for six at close of play.



And at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados, Combined Campuses and Colleges, chasing 173 to beat Barbados, reached 36 for one at the close. Scores in that match so far:- Barbados 90 and 195; Combined Campuses and Colleges 113 and 36 for 1.
