A 3.5 magnitude earthquake jolted Trinidad and Tobago yesterday.

The Seismic Unit at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine says the quake struck at 12.51 p.m. and was felt along the northern range of the island.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or destruction.

The last major quake in the twin island republic was on September 29, 2006 when a 6.0 tremor rattled both Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela.
