Bahamas to host regional championship

Reigning men’s champions Jamaica are among the ten teams listed to participate at the 2011 edition of the Caribbean Basketball Championships which will be hosted by The Bahamas from July 25 to August 5 at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium.
Organisers are also expecting eight women’s team.
On the men’s side, Jamaica will be challenged by hosts Bahamas, Antigua & Barbuda, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guyana, Turks & Caicos Islands and United States Virgin Islands.
Only hosts Bahamas, Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago, and United States Virgin Islands have confirmed their participation on the women’s side. However, The Caribbean Basketball Confederation has adjusted the closing date for late entries.
