Wesley Brown continues to lead
Wesley Brown has maintained his lead in the men’s category of the four-day National Trials at the Cinnamon Hill Course in Montego Bay.
Brown shot two under par on yesterday’s second day. His two-day score of 138 puts him 11 strokes ahead of Sean Morris and Keith Stein who are joint second on 149. Fabian Campbell is fourth with 152.
Robert Chin proved his consistency by shooting 81 for a total of 161 and continues to lead the senior section, while Jamaica Golf Association President Wayne Chai Chong moved into second place with a total of 166.
Veteran golfer Dennis Atkinson is still ahead in the Super Senior with 161, while Leiza Blakeley remain out front in the ladies’ section with 169.
The trials will determine Jamaica’s representatives for the Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships, which will be hosted at the Millenium Lakes Golf Course in Trinidad and Tobago from July 31 to August 7.
