Cricket: WICB name women’s squad for Pakistan series
The West Indies selectors have named the Jamaican pair of all-rounder Stafanie Taylor and Shanel Daley in a 14-member women’s squad to face Pakistan on the upcoming tour of the Caribbean.
Taylor and Daley have earlier this week returned from Barbados after helping Jamaica to win the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Women’s One-Day champion.
The selectors have also named two debutants in the side. They are 15-year-old Barbadian Shaquana Quintyne and her fellow national Kycia Knight.
Trinidadian Merissa Aguilleira remains captain.
West Indies face Pakistan in four One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 Internationals starting August 28.
The four One Day Internationals will be played in St Vincent with the two opening Twenty20 Internationals scheduled for Grenada and the last two carded for Guyana.
