Sections of Antigua and Barbuda have been drenched after showers associated with Hurricane Irene lashed the island over the past 48 hours.
The Central Board of Health says it has cleared drains, paving the way for timely run-off of the water.
Director of the National Office of Disaster Services Philmore Mullin says while the department received several calls there were no major emergencies.
He says hurricane shelters were opened in Grays Farm, Pigotts and Bolans where three families moved into the public facilities.
