Jamaica starts Under-17 Women’s qualifiers

Jamaica’s opening match of the CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championships in the Dominican Republic is to take place this morning, starting at 10 a.m.
The Jamaicans were scheduled to start against Aruba at the Estadios Panamericanos, but the match was postponed because of rain.
The match will now take place at the FedoFut Goal Project facility.
The three-team Group B qualifiers will run for five days.
Jamaica will play their final match against hosts Dominica Republic on Sunday.
This stage of qualifiers consists of four, three-team Caribbean groups. The four group winners will advance to a second group stage from which three will qualify for the eight-team CONCACAF finals next year.
CONCACAF will send three teams to the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan set for September 12 to October 13, 2012.
