Australia are closing in on an impressive first Test victory in Sri Lanka despite a half-century from Mahela Jayawardene.
Jayawardene finished day three on 57 not out in a total of 120 for five. Ryan Harris has so far taken three for 24.
Sri Lanka are chasing an unlikely 379 to win after Australia were bowled out for 210 in their second innings toay. The Aussies resumed on 116 for six, a lead of 283.
Rangana Herath was the most successful for Sri Lanka with five for 79.
