Edwin Allen, Denbigh move closer to inter-zone slot

Leaders Edwin Allen High extended their unbeaten run in Zone H of the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel daCosta Cup to nine games by whipping Alston High 5-0 yesterday.



As a result of the victory, Edwin Allen have moved within touching distance of an inter-zone place.



In the other games in the group, third place Clarendon College spanked Porus 10- 0 to move up to 17 points and Thompson Town blanked Claude McKay 2-0.



In Zone I, leaders Denbigh High made it seven wins from eight starts with an 8-0 victory over Central High. They moved to 21 points and a step closer to an inter-zone slot.



Also in the group, Glenmuir High joined Garvey Maceo in second place after a 6-0 victory over Bustamante High. Vere Technical edged Kemps Hill 1-0.



The competition continues at 3.30 p.m. with 28 games.
