Innswood keep slim hopes alive

Innswood scored a 5-1 victory over Edith Dalton James yesterday to keep their slim hopes alive of qualifying for the second round of the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup.



As a result of the victory, Innswood have joined Spanish Town on 17 points in Group E. Both teams are battling for the final qualifying spot in the group. Spanish Town hold down second place courtesy of goal difference.



Innswood and Spanish Town are five points behind St Georges College, who have already won the group to secure the lone Walker Cup Knockout spot.



In a game of academic interest, St Andrew Technical edged St Mary’s College 1-0.



There are two rescheduled games on this afternoon. Those matches are Cumberland hosting St Jago in Group D and Bridgeport traveling to Jose Marti in Group G.
