JC, KC face off for semi-final spot

Reigning champions Jamaica College and Kingston College will battle for the last semi-final spot in the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup this afternoon.
The two will face off at the Constant Spring field, starting at 3.30 p.m.
Jamaica College are leading the group and only need to avoid defeat in order to book the last semi-final spot.
Meanwhile, the group’s other two teams, Excelsior and St Andrew Technical High School will face off in a game of academic interest. That game is set to start at 1 p.m.
Early qualifiers Charlie Smith ended their campaign in the second round with a 3-2 victory over nine-man Bridgeport High at Prison Oval yesterday.
In the day’s other game, Spanish Town beat last year’s beaten finalists Waterford 1-0.
St George’s College and Wolmer’s Boys are the other semi-final qualifiers.
