Police in Antigua have launched a manhunt for the killers of a Dominican woman, who was shot during a robbery at a gas station over the weekend.

Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has described the killing of 39-year-old Dorathy Prince as reckless, senseless and brazen.

He has called for persons to support the security forces in apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of the murder.

Following the murder, eyewitnesses reportedly claimed that three men held up the gas station, while a fourth was waiting in at getaway vehicle.

The Dominica News On Line website said that Prince was originally from the village of Grand Fond and that an assistance fund has been opened to offset funeral expenses and to care for her two children.
