Two people are due to appear in an Antiguan court today after the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy in Antigua seized more than 480 kilograms of cocaine earlier this week.

Reports are that a 41 year old Antiguan man and a 41 year old Guyanese woman were arrested in connection to the seizure of the drugs that is said to have an estimated value of US6.3 million.

The authorities say they found the cocaine wrapped in more than 400 parcels stashed in bags.

The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy says the seizure is the largest in the Caribbean in recent times.
