Norman Manley Law School heads to intternational mooting competition

This academic year has seen the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS) dominating locally and across the region in moot and interviewing competitions.

The NMLS team of Jazeel Martin, Jeniece St Romaine and Jovell Barrett earned first place in the Lex Caribbean Client Interviewing and Counselling Competition held in Trinidad and Tobago at the end of January

The NMLS team also won the eighth Caribbean Court of Justice International Moot Competition, also held in the twin-island republic. To close the regional wins, the NMLS won the Margaret Forte Inter Schools mock trial against the Hugh Wooding Law School. The final was hosted in The Bahamas.

Locally, NMLS team members Amanda Montague, Litrow Hickson, Kalasia Miller, Jhade Lindsay and Rowana-Kay Campbell won against the Mona Faculty of Law in the Philip C. Jessup International Mooting competition.

The team will leave Jamaica on Good Friday for the international rounds.
