Rotarians welcome international guest
Rotarians were out in their numbers to celebrate the historic visit of John Germ, the president of Rotary International at the installation ceremony of 21 district governors and 12 presidents for zones 33 and 34, to serve for the year 2016-2017 at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay on Saturday.
The spectacular event also had specially invited guests including Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton who lauded the organisation for leading the fight to reduce the cases of poliomyelitis worldwide.
Germ an engineer by profession participated in several events during his four-day visit including the handing over of microscopic equipment valued at over $10 million to the ophthalmology department at the Cornwall Regional Hospital (CRH).
