Murder-suicide involving security guards at TRN office in Kingston

Police investigators are now at the scene of a murder-suicide at the TRN office on Orange Street in downtown Kingston where a male security guard shot and killed a female security guard before turning the weapon on himself this morning.

Our source says the male security guard, Paul Martin, asked his co-workers to take him to the location where his common-law wife, Collette Hibbert, was posted and engaged her in a brief conversation before shooting her shortly after 8:15.

He then shot himself.

The police have confirmed the murder-suicide but could not immediately provide details.

In the meantime, the TRN office has been closed and Tax Administration Jamaica is seeking counselling for the workers.
