Car slams into glass facade of departure lounge at NMIA

There was a scare at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston this morning after a driver lost control of his vehicle and ran into the glass walls of the departure lounge.

The police say no one was harmed.

The incident took place about 6:45 a.m. as the driver attempted to park his vehicle. The driver, whose identity has not been revealed, has been taken into custody.

The incident has not affected operations at the airport.
