One dead, two injured in Hanover shooting

One man was shot and killed and two others are in hospital battling for life after a gunman opened fire on patrons at a shop in Hanover this morning.

The dead man has been identified as Malik Dixon of a Williamsfield address in the parish.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit reports that Dixon was among a group of men playing dominoes at the shop shortly after 1 o’clock  when a lone gunman entered and opened fire.

The police were summoned and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.
