JUTC gives sub-franchisers grace period to renew road licences

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC) has announced a 10-day grace period for its sub-franchise bus operators to renew their road licences.
JUTC sub-franchise road licence expires today.
The company says the grace period will begin on Monday and ends on Friday October 13.
In a statement yesterday, the JUTC said no further extensions will be granted.
The state-owned bus company urged bus operators to take advantage of the extension to avoid prosecution.
