UPDATE: Westbound lane of Mandela highway reopens after five-vehicle crash

The westbound lane of the Mandela Highway is now reopened to vehicular traffic.

The roadway was closed earlier today as a result of a fatal crash in the vicinity of the entrance to Plantation Heights.

One woman died in the crash which involved five vehicles.

The dead woman is yet to be identified.
